I obtained my Master of Social Sciences in Clinical Psychology degree at the University of the Free State. During my training, I learned how to administer psychological assessments for scholastic, career counseling, and diagnostic purposes. I was exposed to various modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), play therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, and REBT. I was also involved in the Multidisciplinary team (MDT) at A psychiatric hospital.

Andisiwe Balungile Macingwane
Founder & Clinical Psychologist
I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF).
I work with all age groups and individuals from diverse backgrounds presenting with various life challenges and psychological disorders.
I provide psychological interventions for mild to complex psychopathology. This includes, but is not limited to, grief, relational problems, life transitions, adjustment, behavioural problems, substance misuse, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, and personality disorders.
I centre the client and tailor therapy to meet their psychological needs. My goal is to create a safe therapeutic relationship that allows clients to gain an understanding of themselves and their psychological needs. I am intentional in cultivating a holding and non-judgmental space so clients can explore how their experiences and relationships impact their concept of self, others, and the world. The goal is to increase clients’ insight and self concept, help them identify self-defeating patterns, and for them to learn skills and tools to gain mastery of self.
